What we do

Craigerne Accountancy offer fixed-fee accountancy services. The cost of accountancy fees for Limited company accounts start at £400 for a low turnover company. For self assessment accountant fees we charge £199 for a basic return.

Our services include year-end accounts and tax returns for individuals and companies, VAT returns and bookkeeping. We aim to offer a high-quality, cost-effective service with clear advice and quick responses, and we’re happy to work with businesses of all sizes.

While based in the Scottish Borders, we work with clients across Scotland and the UK — with friendly, expert support and clear fixed-fee pricing.   As a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), we adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards, giving you confidence that your finances are in safe hands.

Craigerne Accountancy is currently not VAT-registered. Our fees therefore do not include VAT, which can be cost-effective for clients who are also below the VAT registration threshold.

Please contact us by phone, e-mail, or WhatsApp if you’d like to discuss our services further.

Whether you are a new business start-up or an established business looking for a change we can provide all of the support you will need. Our aim is to make the accounting part of the business as straightforward and stress free as possible.

We use language which you can understand and always aim to respond quickly to any issues which may arise. You will have one point of contact for all matters who will develop a good understanding of your business needs. Our fixed fees are designed to avoid unexpected bills.

Our aim is to build long-term business relationships with our clients by giving the right support when it is needed.

Chartered Accountant

The Chartered Accountant designation is your assurance that we understand financial accounting. The ICAS designation is one of the most popular and trusted designations for practicing accountants. Member firms are subject to regular reviews and visits to ensure that the highest standards are met. They are also required to obtain sufficient insurance coverage to cover all likely outcomes.

This does not mean that an unqualified accountant is not capable of doing the work involved, there are plenty of very good accountants out there who have not been through the examination system. However, if you are unsure when comparing which accountant to use, the designation should at least give confidence that a chartered accountant can do the work. There is also the added benefit that if you need to provide accounts for the bank the chartered accountant can provide the necessary accountants certificate.
